Skomer Puffins

Skomer island lies less than a mile off the Pembrokeshire coast and is managed by the Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales.Skomer is most famous for its puffins and has the largest breeding colony in southern Britian with an estimated population of 165,000 pairs.I have visited on several occasions and just marvel at these beautiful charming sea birds that ooze character.Photographing these birds was a pleasure eventhough difficult without any cover and the sun facing you in every direction.Over exposure was a real problem i had to deal with but well worth it

  1. These captures are just stunning! The puffin is such a beauty with all its colours:) And you have to wonder how they are able to capture that many fish without loosing the ones they are already carrying.
